Looking back at first Tweets of Doncaster stars as Twitter marks 10th birthday

As Twitter celebrates its 10th birthday, we've delved back into the archives to check out the very first Tweets of the great and good of Doncaster.

Although the first tweet was actually sent on March 21, 2006 many of us didn’t start using the social network until several years later.
Now millions of people across the globe use the site to spread messages to followers far and wide - but in those early days, a lot of those first attempts at writing something interesting, witty and informative within 140 characters failed.
Doncaster North MP and former Labour leader Ed Miliband made a rather uninspired debut - tweeting about a meeting on the topic of drainage.
Doncaster born Top Gear motormouth Jeremy Clarkson was also slow to come up with his trademark controversy, simply telling his followers he was tired.
But booming Brian Blessed made an entrance in his typical loud style, using capital letters to announce “HELLO TWITTER.”
Here are a selection of other first tweets from Doncaster folk - including my very own first effort on the site.
