A spokesman for Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) said: "Due to flooding in Leeds, RDaSH is having issues with its switchboard and phone lines and is using an ‘emergency’ number – 01302 858768.

They added: "A number of Vodaphone lines used by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) are down, including the one for the main switchboard at Tickhill Road Hospital in Doncaster and to Great Oaks in Scunthorpe. If anyone calls the usual switchboard number of 01302 796000 the number will not be obtainable or they will hear a constant engaged tone."
