Knocked down supercop stops driver with Taser - CCTV VIDEO

SUPERCOP Dan Pascoe was flung into the air like a rag doll when a car ploughed into him at speed - but he got up, chased the offender and stopped him with his Taser gun.

The brave policeman collapsed from his injuries after catching Lee Adamson, who has been jailed for almost two years.

Police have now released dramatic video footage - press the play button to watch - which shows the officer being thrown violently to the ground after his police car was rammed by a blue BMW driven by Adamson.

Police set up a road block to stop the vehicle.

Pc Pascoe had just got out of his parked patrol car when the BMW smashed into the back of it, sending the officer flying.

The policeman rolled, got up and brushed himself down, glanced back at his wrecked car and then ran after Adamson, who had abandoned the damaged BMW.

His fellow officers helped to arrest the criminal on suspicion of vehicle theft and other driving offences.

Police condemned the “appallingly irresponsible” actions of the driver.

“Thankfully Pc Pascoe only sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision but it’s clear that the extremely dangerous manner in which the stolen vehicle was being driven could easily have resulted in a tragic outcome,” said Inspector Chris Colley, head of Surrey Police’s roads policing unit,

“Adamson rammed the police vehicle at high speed and it is only good fortune that prevented an officer or a member of the public from being seriously injured or killed.”

The incident happened last month on a slip road of the M25 at junction 11, near Chertsey in Surrey. Adamson, aged 29, of Hayes, West London, was jailed for 23-months after he pleading guilty to dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and resisting arrest.

He was dealt with at Guildford Crown Court.
