A centenarian celebrated her milestone 100th birthday with a party surrounded by family members and a special visitor.
s Connie Copper was excited to receive her card from the Queen and also received a visit from councillor John Foden, the mayor of Rotherham.
The party was held at the Meadow View Care Home in Kilnhurst in February, where she has lived since 2007.
Her son Daniel Cooper, 77, who now lives in York said his mum puts her long life down to good old clean living.
The former steelworker said: “She has always worked hard and never smoke or drank. I am in awe of her, she has been and still is a wonderful mum.”
Mrs Cooper worked as a chamber main and has three children, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Staff at the care home baked her a special birthday cake to help mark the occasion.
