Beharrell played a starring role as Keighley made the Dons work for their 29-20 win at the Keepmoat Stadium in June in what was their only victory that month.
When Keighley cancelled all contracts a few weeks later due to mounting financial problems, the Dons swooped to sign the goal-kicking scrum-half who has featured on the losing side just once since making the switch.
'Matty has settled in well at the club and I'm sure he'll be looking for a big game on his return to Keighley,' said Dons No 2 Pete Green.
'Obviously Keighley will know all about him and will be looking to get into his face but that won't bother him because he's a feisty character and that's the sort of rugby he likes.'
Although the third-placed Dons will start as firm favourites, Green is taking nothing for granted in the run-up to the home game against Workington Town which could decide which side finishes third and gets home advantage in the play-offs.
'We can't afford to take our eye of the ball against either Keighley or away at North Wales the week after because they are both going to be tough games,' he said.
'But we are in a better place than when we last played Keighley, having won our last seven league games, and we are aiming to keep building that momentum.
'We have got ourselves into a good position to make the play-offs but we know that with several teams snapping at our heels that we can't afford to slip up in either of our last three games.
'Keighley may be a bit down on numbers at the moment but they are a good home side and Cougar Park, which doesn't have the best playing surface in my experience, can be a tough place to go and we've not always played well there over the years.
'They'll be physical but we'll be looking to start big and, because Keighley haven't really anything to play for, if we do that then hopefully we'll take the sting out of them.'
The Dons, who will lack several of their dual-registered players, are due to give hooker Kieran Cross, who hasn't played since June, and wing/full-back Richard Owen, who has missed the last couple of games with a rib injury, late fitness tests.
