JULY SNOW? Bookmakers slash odds after Met Office alert
Bookmakers have slashed odds of snow falling next month after weather experts issued the unseasonable warning.
As cooler air starts to descend over the UK, the bookies now rate it a 3/1 shot that snowflakes will fall anywhere in the country in July.
Odds have also been cut into 5/1 from 8/1 that summer 2016 enters record books as coldest ever.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “The temperature drop has left us with no choice but to offer odds on snowfall in June and July for the first ever time.”
