Jobs boom in the Isle as company is set to double in size

An Isle-based company that has created 38 full-time jobs in the past 11 months, is now seeking to double its workforce.

The success of RoLEC Renewable Energy and RoLEC Electrical from its Isle of Axholme base continues to grow, and is due largely to word of mouth, says management.

It is also likely that the company will have to extend its working premises on Sandtoft Industrial estate in the near future, to accommodate its ever growing workforce.

Although primarily an electrical contracting company, it is the renewable energy with solar panels side of the business that has really taken off of late, said operations manager Roger Priestnall.

The company is currently advertising for sales and installation staff, but there is no high turnover within the company, added Mr Priestnall. He said: “We call ourselves Team Rolec and place team work highly on the agenda. We value our staff and create a happy working environment which is part of why we are successful. The other main reason is because we are placed in the middle of the market and follow through on everything we say we do. Our solar panels come with a 20 year warranted package and we make sure people receive their government subsidy for moving to solar panels.

“We hope to double our workstaff at least over the next three months.”

There have been teething troubles at Sandtoft, not least with internet connection, but it is hoped these problems are now solved, added Mr Priestnall.

The company claims to tackle concerns over climate change and rising energy costs with its range of solar pv solutions for all premises.
