The first Lex Fest Family Fun Day in memory of Epworth’s Alexander Strong has entertainment, rides, stalls and games on Epworth Showground from noon to 4pm, then singing and dancing, with food and a licensed bar from 7.30 to 11.30pm, with Grace Bower from Britain’s Got Talent as guest performer.

A highlight of the day will be the It’s a Knockout Challenge Trophy with teams competing from all around the area for the winners’ cup.

Youngsters can look forward to pony rides, meeting and holding reptiles, face painting, bouncy castles, and popcorn and candy floss to add to the fun of the fair.

Two brave youngsters with challenging medical conditions will benefit from money raised on the day. Belton’s Kira Yates needs a mobility scooter and a specially adapted trike will go to William Moreland of Balby.

Evening tickets are £5 from Sunspot in Epworth, the Co-op or Serendipity. Raffle tickets are on sale for multiple prizes, and filled party bags for girls and boys are being sold now by Katie Anderson and committee members.

The aspiring charity is also sponsoring a football team. Crowle Colts have a new kit provided by Pride of the Isle.
