It's back! Our fun Doncaster World Cup contest to find town's best place returns for 2021
To tie in with Euro 2020 which kicks off this week, we’re bringing back our ‘just for fun’ competition to discover where in Doncaster deserves to be crowned number one.
If you’ve spent hours arguing with your mates over which of our town’s villages or suburbs deserves top spot, be prepared for that argument to be settled once again.

First launched last year to keep people busy and have a little fun during lockdown, we want to see who can claim the crown this year.
We’ve whittled down all the suburbs and villages from across Doncaster to 64 – pretty much everywhere from Adwick to Wadworth gets a look in, but please don’t complain if we’ve missed yours out – we’ve tried to include as many as possible.
In the first round, there’s 16 groups of four villages each. For example, Group A will see Campsall, Auckley, Rossington and Scawsby

From then on it will be a knockout contest – a round of 32, last 16, quarter finals, semi finals and then the grand final where YOUR vote will decide on Doncaster’s top spot.
All you have to do is cast your votes on Twitter at @DarrenBurkeSYN and join in the fun using the hashtag #doncasterworldcup
Remember, it’s just for fun!
