Isle social landlord to host annual carnival

It’s party time thanks to the Isle’s social landlord North Lincolnshire Homes.

ongo is hosting its annual, and fifth, carnival on August 12 from 11-3.30pm at Manor Park in Burringham Road, Scunthorpe.

With over 500 people expected at the park, the free event is set to be a day to remember with activities to include a circus workshop, trampolines, and zorb footballing.

Demonstrations from local groups, including majorettes group Ruby Twirl Stars, Twin Tigers and Messingham Martial Arts, are expected to begin from 11am.

A small animal farm will also be present, as will a soft play area for the younger ones and bouncy castle and fun house for the slightly older children, who might also spot the ongo Bears making their appearance.

ongo staff will alsombe on hand at information stalls to talk about various matters, including housing.
