Humberside Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) provides employment and services for the whole community and is committed to providing accessible services to the diverse communities served.

To be able to do this effectively, we need to engage with staff and communities, gather feedback and establish where improvements can be made.

By working with over fifty members of staff, we have identified gaps and inequalities within the Service. In order to address these, we have established some equality and inclusion priorities.

We now need feedback from you to help shape and develop the equality and inclusion priorities to ensure that the needs of all community members are addressed.

Why should you get involved?

We are committed to listening to your views. By taking part in this consultation, you can help shape the equality and inclusion priorities and contribute to improving the way services are delivered and staff are engaged.

Once your feedback has been received and considered, the final equality and inclusion priorities will be agreed by Members of the Fire Authority. The HFRS Corporate Management Team will then be responsible for ensuring that they are actioned within the organisation.

In 2017, we will publish information on our website about improvements which have been made and challenges which have been encountered when delivering the equality and inclusion priorities.
