Isle fundraiser is top of the crops

An Isle beauty therapist has helped raise over £700 for a hospice in memory of her mother thanks to the support of students and staff at the college where she studies.

Fiona Pears, aged 50, had 17 inches of her glossy mane of hair cut off in aid of Lindsey Lodge Hospice, in memory of her late mum Pamela Hunt, who passed away there in 2017.

And when fellow students and staff from Scunthorpe’s North Lindsey College found out about her fundraising feat, they decided to dedicate their annual charitable activities and events to support her cause.
