The charity says it will forever be indebted to John for his vision and foresight in inaugurating the life-saving Charity back in 1992.  John worked tirelessly in establishing the original ‘Lincolnshire Air Ambulance’ before expanding the service into Nottinghamshire.  During his time with the charity John not only recruited the first board of trustees, but also the charity’s first ever fundraiser; John also served for six years as chairman of the board. He remained a devoted and active member of the board for over 21 years and made a huge contribution to the growth and development of the air ambulance.

Chief executive, Karen Jobling said: “The work that John started with the air ambulance some 22 years ago will be a lasting legacy, and it is a testament to his determination and commitment in providing a life-saving emergency service to the people of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.”
