Humberside Police welcomes a new Assistant Chief Constable to the force next week.

Andy McDyer joins us from Northumbria where he was serving as Chief Superintendent. He takes over from Gary Calvert who is set to retire in early June.

With 27 years in the police service Andy has a wealth of experience to offer the force.

He said: "I'm incredibly proud to have been appointed as an ACC for Humberside Police and am excited to be a part of the chief officer team leading the force. I'm looking forward to working with colleagues, partners and the communities across Humberside.

"I've no doubt the people will be as welcoming and as friendly as they are in Northumbria and am delighted I will now be a part of keeping them safe.
