A talented Darfield dancer is hoping fundraising events will enable her to take up a place at a London performing arts college.
Sixteen year old Shauna Hall has received offers from four top theatre academies, and hopes to attend the Laine Theatre Arts College, with a view to some day performing in the West End.
But first Shauna’s parents must find £16,512 per year for college fees.
Her mother Jackie Hall said: “We are trying to fundraise as much as we can so Shauna’s dreams will not be shattered. It is heartbreaking for friends and family to know that if we can not raise the money Shauna will not be able to take up this once in a lifetime opportunity.”
Shauna has danced since the age of two with the Kathryn Downs Academy, Platts Common.
A family race night takes place tomorrow (Friday) at Hoyland Common WMC, Fitzwilliam Street, at 7.30pm, and Shauna has organised a show at Horizon Community College on July 15 from 7pm.
