A new general manager has been appointed for women and children’s services.
Ashy Shanker is delighted to have moved into the role at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. For the past 14 years she has gained skills and knowledge from a range of areas including general practice, service improvement, commissioning, strategy development and general management positions.
Her last role at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust included general management in anaesthetics, critical care and head and neck services.
Ashy said: “This is a great step forward for me and I am delighted to have joined the Trust. My aim is to continue the excellent work already provided for women and children, enhancing the service where possible and continually improving the quality of care.
“It is exciting to work in a new area, challenging myself in a new role. I have been introduced to many people now and I am thrilled to be surrounded by a friendly and dedicated team of clinicians, managers and frontline staff.”
