Doncaster’s only private hospital, Park Hill, celebrated 20 years earlier this month.
To mark the occasion, staff past and present were invited to an anniversary ball at The Crown Hotel, Bawtry.
The hospital, Thorne Road, is a part of the Ramsay Health Care Group, and among the 90 guests was the company’s UK CEO Mark Page.
The celebration was also attended by practicing consultants and senior executives from Ramsay Health Care including Carmel Monaghan, Group Chief of Staff, who flew in from Ramsay’s Australian Headquarters in Brisbane.
Some of the attendees, such as Audrey Walker, have worked at Park Hill since it opened.
Audrey commented: “It’s been the greatest pleasure of my life; I joined the company as kitchen staff, and then proceeded to theatre as a Healthcare Assistant.
“I enjoy every minute of my time at the hospital, the surgeons and management are like a family to me.”
General Manager Dawn Abbot added: “Park Hill has been like my baby and I feel proud to have helped develop and nurture it during the last 20 years. I absolutely love my job and Ramsay is a fabulous company to work for.
“They are always looking for ways to improve the hospital, building upon what is already here and introducing new techniques.”
The hospital was officially opened by famous footballer Emlyn Hughes OBE on 27 June 1995. It then became part of the Ramsay Health Care group in 2007.
