Health experts are teaming up with Doncaster Rovers to give bowel cancer the red card.

Staff from the Living Well Cancer Information Service will be working with NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group to offer a range of information and advice on bowel cancer and how to spot the early signs and symptoms at the forthcoming Rovers V Sheffield United match on November 15.

Staff will be on hand to highlight to footie fans that the main symptoms of bowel cancer are blood in poo, changes in bowel habit and tummy pain.

Jo O’Marr, of the Living Well Service, said: “If you have any of the symptoms please go and see your GP. The likelihood is that you haven’t got bowel cancer, but it is better to be checked. The sooner cancer is detected the better.” Follow on Twitter @Info_StJohns
