Clinical excellence highlighted at ambulance trust meeting


The region’s ambulance service highlighted clinical excellence at its Trust Board Meeting.

A presentation entitled Our Journey to Clinical Excellence was made to attendees by Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust’s Associate Director of Quality and Nursing Karen Warner and Associate Medical Director Dr Steven Dykes.

It described developments at the Trust to ensure patients continue to be provided with safe, responsive, appropriate and effective care for their needs.

In addition, the Trust Board approved the Clinical Quality Strategy 2015-18 which has the key aims of providing fully integrated emergency and urgent care, treating more patients at home and a focus on

Continuous improvement to provide world class care.

The Trust Board formally congratulated Rod Barnes and Dr David Macklin on their permanent appointments as Chief Executive and Executive Director of Operations respectively.

The next Trust Board Meeting to be held in public will take place on Tuesday 28 July 2015 at The Garden Rooms, Tennants, Leyburn DL8 5SG.
