HARD up residents can get a helping hand surviving in their everyday lives thanks to Doncaster Minster.
For the iconic 19th century church is hosting a special harvest service next month.
Organised by curate Rev Jude Davis, good Samaritans are being urged to donate bags of important items, including non-perishable foods and toiletries, they would buy in their weekly shop.
Rev Davis said: “People are struggling to make ends meet so jobseekers can come along and get a bag of stuff to take home.”
The minster service takes place on October 16 with items being distributed the following day.
