As a fun and educational petting farm the attraction’s goal is introducing you and your family to a wide variety of animals from home and overseas. In addition to chickens, turkeys, ducks, Tamworth, British Saddleback and Gloucester Old Spot pigs and other farmyard animals there are rare breeds and animals such as the giant tortoise, wallabies, alpacas and llamas.

Farm owner Ted Phillips said: “Visitors can have a great experience here. We have animals such as deer, emus, dwarf pygmy goats and South American rheas. We also have the guinea pig village and the meerkat experience, which children and adults alike enjoy.”

He added: “We have just fitted out a £30,000 ice cream parlour and 1950s American diner, which adds to the experience.

“We have a new lovely on-site cafe with great low prices (as we understand you may have a lot of hungry mouths to feed!) serving hot and cold foods, drinks and all manner of snacks and sweets to feed every hungry mouth.

“Also we also have a picnic area if you want to bring your own picnic.”

Children can enjoy the play areas, take a dive into the sandpit and both children and adults can play on the super-sized bouncy castles on site.

You can learn all about the life cycle of birds in the incubator room and even get to hold chicks.

You can then take a walk into the guinea pig village where you will learn how to care for guinea pigs and then get to hold one.
