Golf: Results round-up from Doncaster, Thorne, Town Moor and Wheatley

Josh Berry won Doncaster Golf Club's annual Junior Silver Salver competition on Sunday.

Christopher Carling won the club's Rabbits section Bring & Win competition the previous day. Hashim Shibib was runner-up.

Dave Johnson (net 63) proved the man to beat in Thorne's Monthly Medal Winners' final.

Pete Dodds (41 points) won the club's opening Wednesday Winter League competition. Steve Beastall (40) and Les Pickering (39) completed the top three.

Ron Lindley (37 points) pipped Tony McGarry (37) to win the club's Seniors' stableford. Bill Shores (36) completed the top three.

Brian Dodge (37 points) took the honours in Doncaster Town Moor's Division One stableford on Saturday. Steve Turner (35) pipped Steve Hathaway (35) for second spot on the OCB ruling.

Rob Parkin (36 points) won the Division Two competition. Stan Usher (34) headed the chasing pack with Russ Sudars (33) claiming third spot.

Max Garbutt, the son of former European Tour professional Ian Garbutt, was one of the major prize-winners during the summer season at Wheatley. The teenager won the Junior Cup.

Other winners included 16-year-old six-handicapper George Marsden who won the Captain's Cup.

Martin Haddock carded the winning score in the club's senior 36-hole scratch competition with Max Reynolds claiming victory in the junior event.

Emma Mysiuk posted the winning score in the Ian Garbutt under-21 Scratch competition. Jenny and Steve Brennan lifted the Prince William trophy with Ian Friebe winning the Ed Fox Centenary stableford.

Daniel Roberts was victorious in the Wrigglesworth Cup competition with Graham Barrick bagging the WF Parkes Trophy.

Cynthia Porter and Neil Mallender teamed up to win the Arthur Thompson trophy.

Connor Clark won the club championship 36-hole scratch title. Martin Haddock and Ollie Shaw were the stand out pairing in the Senior/Junior KO. Nick Hope claimed the George Maw Cup.
