RESIDENTS are invited to a public meeting tomorrow to discuss plans for a proposed travelling showmen’s site.
Campaigners opposed to the proposal for Moss Croft Lane, Hatfield Woodhouse, have staged several protests including one near the site and outside the Mansion House before the planning meeting.
Over 750 letters have been submitted in opposition with residents concerned about the number of vehicles which will be using the A18, at High Street, Dunsville, if the scheme goes ahead.
Doncaster Council’s planning committee has already postponed an application by Freeman Roger Huby to convert the former sand quarry into an area for caravans and storage space for fairground rides when they are not being used.
Everyone is welcome to attend Friday’s meeting at the Dunsville Community Centre in the High Street, at 7pm.
