Glastonbury may be having a break this year, but the Fake Festivals Tour is back bigger and better with early bird tickets now on sale and Haxey playing host to festival fever on June 30.

Now in its sixth year, the tour is visiting more places than ever and South Yorkshire can enjoy the festival vibe right on their doorstep once again.

Taking place at Haxey Playing Fields and with performances from some of the best and internationally acclaimed tribute bands in the world including Kings Of Lyon, New2 and Four Fighters, as well as five local support bands, it’s the ultimate destination for your festival fix. Plus, it can offer a guarantee like no other – the British weather can’t ruin it.

Hosted inside a marquee and boasting a main stage with a state of the art sound and lighting system, people can enjoy the full festival vibe but without the beer and brolly juggling. There’s also a secured area featuring a variety of food stalls, face painting, a bucking bronco, bungee run and bouncy castle, ensuring there’s plenty for families to enjoy too at this community led event.

“The 2012 tour is the biggest to date and we’re delighted to be stopping off at Haxey again,” says Jez Lee, founder of Fake Festivals.

“The idea of Fake Festivals was always to bring that authentic festival feeling to your home town instead of having to travel hundreds of miles and pay hundreds of pounds to experience it,” he continues.

“Our bands not only sound like the real thing, but also give such a good performance that you may as well be watching the real band themselves – the only difference with our festival is that our ticket prices are a fraction of the cost of V or T in The Park.”

With Alex Zane confirming that “Fake Festivals are as good as the real thing” and previous tours selling out, people are encouraged to grab their tickets now at an Early Bird discounted rate (available until May 30th) either online at Fake Festival or from local outlets:

“This will be our fourth year on the Fake Festivals Tour and we love everything about it,” says Christian Dawson, lead singer of The Kings Of Lyon.

“The stage and lighting set up is awesome for a festival of this size inside a marquee, and we just can’t wait to get back up on that stage and belt out such hits as Sex On Fire and raise the roof!”

Haxey Fake Festival’s line-up this year includes Kings Of Lyon, New2 and Four Fighters.
