FAMILIES are encouraged to get on their bikes for weekend cycle rides at a Dearne beauty spot.
Staff at the RSPB Old Moor Wetlands Centre, near Wombwell, are appealing for energetic groups to join their cycle rides every Saturday from 10.30am to 1pm.
A spokesperson said: “The rides are held by our trained cycle leaders and are roughly 10 miles in length taking approx two hours.
“For the majority of the ride we travel along the Trans Pennine Trail which is relatively flat and has an even surface.
“We ride as a group and take regular breaks to take in the scenery and have a chat.”
It costs £2 for bike rental. Children must be accompanied by adults and must be able to ride the full distance.
