The sessions are only being offered until Christmas as a taster programme to find out what activities people want to take part in. A permanent timetable of activities will then be put together.

Through Active Together you’ll find being physically active can be fun, sociable and massively rewarding. All Active Together activities are free and targeted at people who want to take their first steps towards becoming active.

Councillor Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for Customer Services, Sport and Leisure, said: “We say it all the time, but keeping active really is important for your health. Not only does it have the health benefits but it’s a great way of socialising and having fun. It may seem daunting at first, but once you give it go you will wonder why you didn’t start earlier. We’ve got some brilliant sessions planned as part of the Active Together programme. Have a go at these great dance sessions and get your children involved. It’s a great way to spend time with your family. What’s even better is that all sessions are free, so why not give it a go?”
