McDonnell will defend his WBC International super bantamweight title on the June 16 show against Hall – a former opponent of his brother Jamie.

The Dunscroft fighter is pushing towards a second world title shot and impressed last time out with a comprehensive points win over highly touted prospect Gamal Yafai.

His next challenge comes from the opposite end of the spectrum with 38-year-old Hall having previously operated at world level.

He won the IBF bantamweight title in 2013 after Jamie McDonnell had been stripped of the crown in controversial circumstances.

And he has made two unsuccessful attempts to win the title back.

Hall fought Jamie McDonnell at The Dome in a superb clash for the British, Commonwealth and European bantamweight titles in 2011 in which McDonnell triumphed.
