Funds raised for husky charity
Siberian Husky Aid Rescue and Education is a specialist Siberian husky welfare charity that takes in unwanted huskies and husky crosses and finds new homes from them.
A total of £520.60 was raised. The money will be used to microchip, vaccinate and neuter two or three dogs, depending on vets prices.

They team behind the charity, which is based in Sheffield, vaccinate, neuter and microchip the dogs before they are placed in their new homes.
They also provide new owners with all the information they need to be able to care for their new pet.
The camp was aimed at bringing together people who have adopted huskies from the rescue, but people with other breeds of dogs were also invited.

Visitors enjoyed dog shows, barbecues, dog walks, a raffle and an auction.
Stacey Kelly, SHARE committee member, said: “The highlight of the weekend was one of our dogs being adopted.
“A few weeks ago Kali was going to be put to sleep, she was in the pound because nobody wanted her.

“A family who had been approved to adopt one of our dogs decided to travel to camp to meet her and instantly fell in love, their little boy and Kali are amazing together”.
Kelly continued: “For the staff that was the icing on the cake, we also had the pleasure of seeing a new family form.
“For that to be with a dog who would have died a few weeks earlier was amazing, moments like that are why we all do this job.”
