Free health checks are available to Isle folk, this Friday in Epworth Clinic.

The checks, from 10am to 4pm at the Moorland Way centre are on offer to people between the ages of 40 and 74. Thorough assessments will help to lower individuals’ risk of developing serious conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease.

The checks are for people who do not have the following conditions and for those who have not had a NHS health check in the last five years; diabetes, coronary heart disease or previous heart attacks, stroke or mini stroke, chronic kidney disease, peripheral arterial disease and Atrial Fibrillation (AF), high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
