The coupon is valid from Thursday, October 22 to Wednesday, October 28, and the team at Newman’s constantly celebrate the humble yet ever popular tasty treat.

It is said that in the time of Charles Dickens, Britain had fried fish warehouses – shops that sold fish and bread.

But a few decades later the population discovered how delicious it was to add chips. And the fish and chip shop was born!

Newman’s, which has carried on this great mealtime tradition, is owned by father Chris and daughter Caroline Newman, above, who opened their takeaway 18 months ago.

“I would urge them to use the coupon and come into the fish and chip shop.

“We have been open now for 18 months. All our fish is fresh and we source our potatoes from local farms.

“People coming here can be sure of great tasting food as we have a five star hygiene rating from North Lincolnshire Council and are constantly evaluating ourselves to ensure we give our customers the best.”
