1 Ink inspiration

Widely regarded as one of the most exciting, most anticipated and most talked about tattoo events of the year, Tattoo Jam, comes to Doncaster for a two-day event.

The popular event is run professionally by the publishers of Skin Deep, Skin Shots International, Tattoo Master Magazines, Tattoo Vixens, The Tattoo Bible and Tattoo Dynamite bookazines and promises to be a spectacular event for tattoo lovers.

People attending can expect to enjoy five floors of attractions and activities and there will also be range of tattoo artists and competitions.

2 Avalanche of laughs

On the Piste, by BAFTA award winning Yorkshire playwright John Godber slaloms into Cast.

Produced by The John Godber Company and Theatre Royal Wakefield, On the Piste stars Roxanne Pallett (Emmerdale) and Samantha Seager (Coronation Street) alongside Tom Rooke, Peter Macmillan and Matthew Stathers as the Brits head to the slopes of the French Alps.

Following on from the sell out performances of John Godber’s Bouncers, On the Piste follows life on a ski slope in Chamonix from the point of view of various characters, including the ski novices and ski instructors Tony, Isobel, Michelle and Marie.

3 I see fire

Ed Sheeran, who has enjoyed success on both sides of the Atlantic, comes to the region as part of a nationwide tour.

Fusing traditional acoustic and folk melodies with hip hop beats, Sheeran has created an inimitable sound which has helped him become one of the biggest acts around at the moment.

People attending can expect to hear some of Sheeran’s hits including The A Team, and You Need Me, I Don’t Need You and I See Fire.

4 The big O

One of the country’s best loved Roy Orbison tribute acts comes to Scunthorpe.

Barry Steele presents his live multi-media tribute to The Big O featuring classic Orbison hits from the 60s right through to the late 80s.

Using both original and film footage from the era, and backed by his fabulous band, Barry Steele will bring the life and character of Roy Orbison back to the centre stage, where it truly belongs.
