Flood training

Flood wardens have been put through their paces in a series of training exercises designed to prevent a repeat of the 2007 disaster.

Volunteers from Toll Bar, Bentley Town End and Sprotbrough took part in ‘Exercise Watermark’ where they were asked to respond to a scenario involving major flooding of their communities.

The purpose of the training was to give communities and emergency services the opportunity to rehearse flood response arrangements, and demonstrate the actions and learning points that have been put in place after the floods.
