First cycle race at Lakeside

super cross cycling is coming to Doncaster for the first time this autumn.

Doncaster Lakeside is the venue for the race organised by Doncaster Wheelers Cycle Club, who are staging event on Saturday, October 22. It will be the first ever super cross event to be held in Doncaster and is being supported by British Cycling.

Free classes

Plans extended

planners have agreed to extend permission for Cussins House in Wood Street, Doncaster town centre, to be converted into 12 residential apartments on the third and fourth floors, with office accommodation on the lower floors.

Garden party

members of Misson and Springs Women’s Institute meet at Misson Community Centre on Wednesday for an indoor garden party which will include a competition to find the best garden flower.

Ex-mayor dies

the funeral will take place tomorrow at St Nicholas Church of Alan Grainger, a former Mayor of Thorne and Moorends, who died after a long illness at the age of 84.
