Firefighters deal with arson attacks across South Yorkshire

Firefighters were called to a series of arson attacks across South Yorkshire overnight.

They attended a wheelie bin fire which had been deliberately set on fire in Daresbury View, Arbourthorne, Sheffield at about 8.30pm last night.

A crew from Rossington station attended a car fire in Troutbeck Way, New Rossington at just after 10.30pm.

Then, shortly before 11pm, firefighters extinguished a wheelie bin blaze on Stovin Gardens, Greenland, Sheffield.

Firefighters were also called to a large rubbish fire on Clayroyd, Worsbrough Bridge at 7.20pm, which was found to have started accidentally.

At around midnight, a crew from Edlington station attended a Ford Transit van which was well alight on Markham Road, Edlington. The cause is not yet known.
