Firefighters called to two Dearne incidents

Firefighters were called to put out two fires in the Dearne Valley last night.

A car went up in flames on Frederick Street, Mexborough, at 10.45pm.

Crews spent 10 minutes at the scene and used a single hose reel to put the fire out.

Dearne firefighters put out a blaze to a pile of litter behind a derelict property in Biscay Way, Wath, at 8.15pm.

The cause of both fires is still under investigation.
