A car was torched in an early morning arson attack in Doncaster.

The car was found engulfed in flames in West End Lane, New Rossington, at 2.50am.

Firefighters dealt with the incident.

Last night Doncaster firefighters also dealt with grass and scrubland set alight in Hill Top Road, Denaby Main.

Over the weekend, fencing and rubbish were set on fire in York Street, New Rossington; a van was torched in Windermere Close, Mexborough; rubbish was set alight in South Street, Highfield, Doncaster and a Jaguar was fired in Mallin Drive, Edlington.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
