Firefighters called as suspected flytipped rubbish alight near Doncaster

Suspected flytipped waste caught fire near near a Doncaster estate yesterday evening.

Firefighters from Doncaster Fire Station, near Leger Way, were sent out after the blaze, which was reported behind Clay Lane, Doncaster, at around 7.30pm.

When the fire engine arrived, the fire crew discovered a bed and a pile of wood were were on fire. The crew spent around an hour on the scene and used a hose reel to put the fire out before they were able to leave
