A roast dinner lover from Doncaster needs local support to win the coveted role of Roast Dinner Ambassador. And today (October 15) is the last day to vote for him.
Toby Carvery Edenthorpe in Doncaster opened applications for the job of a lifetime during Roast Dinner Week last week, which called on locals to explain why they should be given this exciting opportunity through pictures, words and videos.
Applications have now closed and the competition has been whittled down to just five finalists, including Chris Page, who works in Doncaster, who thinks he should represent Toby Carvery as their Official Roast Dinner Ambassador, after writing a poem declaring his love for the dish. But remember today is the last day (October 15) to register your vital vote and to help Chris realise his dream job.
Chris said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who loves the British classic dish as much as I do and I’m so thrilled to have made it into the top five. I feel I am the best person for the job as I am a true lover of roast dinners and want to promote this tradition to all.”
As well as Chris there are four other shortlisted hopefuls from across the UK who are going head-to-head for the sought-after position, so Chris is calling on the locals of Doncaster to vote for him to represent the nation as the Official Roast Dinner Ambassador.
General manager, Jamie Stokom at Toby Carvery Edenthorpe said, “We are delighted that a Doncaster hopeful has made it this far in the competition and want to encourage the community to get behind him this week and vote.
“As a town of roast dinner lovers, it is only right that a Doncaster local represents the nation as Toby Carvery’s Official Roast Dinner Ambassador.”
To vote for Chris and to view all five finalists’ entries, visit the Toby Carvery Facebook page on Thursday 15th October.
With over 160 locations across the UK and over 30 years’ experience of laying on a family-sized feast, you can be sure that Toby Carvery is home of the roast.
