Farmer wins Cynthia Tonge Memorial
Farmer, making her first appearance in the final, qualifies for the BCGBA Ladies Champion of Champions at Blackpool in September as a result of her win.
She safely negotiated no fewer than five rounds to book her place in the last two, a run which included another 21-20 success at the first round stage against Gayle Riley.

Hide AdEarl, hoping to emulate her win in 2014, similarly had to hold her nerve in the semi-final, seeing off Wendy Jackson by a single point.
The final, played in horrendous weather conditions, had all the ingredients of being a very closely-fought affair between two South Yorkshire Ladies teammates, and that is exactly how it turned out.
It was 6-6 and 12-12 before Farmer went 19–15 up, only for Earl to level it at 20-20.
But it was Farmer who played a brilliant running bowl to take out Earl’s counting bowl to claim the title.
The event raised £400 for charity, to be shared between Weston Park cancer charity and Marie Curie.
