That’ll be the Day at theatre

ONE of the UK’s number one tributes to Buddy Holly is playing Doncaster Civic Theatre next month.

A Legend Reborn revives classic hits Peggy Sue and Oh Boy with star performer Marc Robinson.

It’s a slice of rock ‘n’ roll nostalgia that allows audiences to see Buddy’s legendary legacy live on.

Tickets on sale for indie band

Tickets are now on sale to see indie rock band The Vaccines when their tour calls at Doncaster in November.

Formed in London in 2010, their debut album rocketed to number four in the charts and they were quickly likened to The Strokes and the Ramones.

Steve Parker, of The Dome, said: “This will be a fantastic event for us to host.”

Star comedian to call in town

Yorkshire comedian Paul Tonkinson is bringing his own brand of charm and energy to The Dome.

With a reputation as a first-class live performer, Paul is taking to the road with his eagerly anticipated debut tour.

His TV appearances include Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and The Comedy Store and he is calling at Doncaster on March 14 next year.

Part of the activities throughout the day at the St Leger Way site will be a beginners’ corner to help anyone wanting to started on their family tree.
