Epworth Show will be biggest and best to date

Entertainment for everyone is promised at next month’s Annual Epworth and district Agricultural Show, that offers so much more than farming attractions.

Included in this year’s August bank holiday bonanza will be special guest Titan the Robot, live music, terrier racing, equine events and competitions, a dog show, magician and even a Bonny Baby competition.

All this, along with the region’s best agricultural and horticultural displays, a big beer tent, and all kinds of refreshments and rides.

Dave Hayes, Chairman of the Epworth and district Agricultural Society said: “For those who have always shied away from such events, I would really recommend a visit this year.

“Even if you are not the farming type it is still a great day out with lots of events such as Gun Dogs, Bernese Carter Dogs, the all important beer tent and Titan, who is perfect for any age.....just don’t get too close!”

For those with an equine interest there will be plenty to see and enjoy, along with an array of livestock such as goats, sheep and cattle. The ever popular Mountain and Moorland ponies will be paraded for everyone to admire.

Mr Hayes continued: “The show is a great way to demonstrate our natural heritage and embrace it, as well as having fun along the way.

“A lot of hard work and preparation by our committee goes in to organising the show, and the high numbers of visitors we have attending reflects this, as the show grows each year.”

Show tickets will be priced at £6 adults, £4 concessions, Under 14s £4, Under Fives free. Find out more by logging on to www.epworthshow.org
