The competition was to promote the recycling of small WEEE such as telephones, chargers, toasters, kettles, torches, mobiles by households. These can be placed in a standard supermarket carrier bag next to your blue and green recycling boxes for collection.

A spokesman said: “Unfortunately we are unable to take items like TV’s and monitors or any item too big to fit into a carrier bag. We can take these through our bulky household item collection service (http://www.northlincs.gov.uk/bins-waste-recycling/additional-waste-services/bulky-collections/) or alternatively these items can be recycled at any of the eight Household Recycling Centres.”
