There are two community events planned in Epworth over the next few months and everyone is invited to attend.
First up is a spring fair which takes place on Saturday April 23.
This will be held at the 12th century* St Andrew’s Church between 10am-noon.
There will be a variety of stalls including cakes, raffle, books, jewellery, refereshments and much more.
Later in the year is something a little bit different.
On Saturday June 11 the church will host a Tudor banquer. This will begin at 6pm and the doors will be open at 5.30pm.
Tickets are £15 which will include Tudor style food and entertainment by de Mowbray’s Musicke.
Diners are asked to take along their own drinks and glasses.
Entry will be strictly by ticket only and these will be on sale at the spring fair on a first come, first served basis.
After April 23 tickets can be obtained from Mrs Penny Birks on 01427 872012.
* The architecture of the Church of England parish church of Saint Andrew suggests that its oldest part may have been built in the late 12th century with later additions in the 14th and 15th centuries.
