South Yorkshire set for warm spells this weekend

South Yorkshire is set to enjoy warm spells over the weekend as it looks ahead to more sunshine next week.

Temperatures are forecast to reach the high teens, according to the Met Office, with sunny spells interspersed with cloud on both Saturday and Sunday.

Unlike earlier in the week, no rain will fall this weekend. Looking ahead for the next seven days, the only rainfall expected in the county will be light rain on Monday morning.

Highs of 16 degrees are expected this weekend.

Britain has been on lockdown since March 23, with people only permitted to leave the house for essential work, to collect supplies such as food and medicine, for medical reasons or to exercise
