ongo maintains Neighbourhood Pride in the Isle

Neighbourhood Pride events staged by award-winning Isle company ongo took on an Easter theme.

Following on from last year’s ‘Big Tidy Up’ events, ongo has been busy working with local communities to deliver Neighbourhood Pride. Over 200 people attended recent activities.

These took place from 30 March to 13 April, across different locations that included Fieldside, Epworth.

The events were jointly organised by the company’s Caretaking Team, Resident Involvement Team, Housing Officers and Tenancy Support Team, and each included an Easter egg hunt.

A group of the organisation’s caretakers ran stalls at the events, where they gave advice and ran activities. Topics included graffiti and fly-tipping, with information given about the bulky item collection service, recycling, and the environment.

Children also had a go at ‘growing your own’ with a sunflower or pansy as a way of promoting National Gardening Week, this week.
