Picture gallery shows how Doncaster town centre will look when shops re-open

These pictures show how Doncaster town centre will look when shoppers return to the town centre later this month.

Shops are to be allowed to re-open on June 15, with many stores already confirming the plan to open from that date, and putting arrangements in place.

But our pictures show that Doncaster Council has now put in place road closures to pedestrianise some areas, introduced one way systems for pedestrians, and signs warning people to keep 2m apart. Signs and barriers have already been put in place, as can be seen here.

People will be asked to walk on the left hand side of streets like St Sepulchre Gate, High Street and around the Frenchgate Centre.

A number of crossing points will allow people to get to the other side of the streets.

Additional core parts of the town centre will be pedestrianised between 10.30am and 4.00pm.
