Eyewitnesses have reported seeing a number of fire engines and an ambulance on the St James Street Estate, close to Doncaster town centre at around 4.30pm.
Reports suggest the crews were responding to an incident at Hatfield House, one of the several blocks of flats on the estate, which is sandwiched between Trafford Way and the A630 Cleveland Street.
