Elderly pedestrian '˜seriously injured' in Doncaster crash

A 77-year-old pedestrian has been left with serious injuries, following a one-car collision in a Doncaster town.

The collision occurred at around 11.35am yesterday morning, when a black Renault Scenic was travelling along Station Road towards the A19.
The car and pedestrian were in collision at the junction of Spa Pool Road. 
The elderly man sustained serious injuries in the collision and was rushed to hospital for treatment. 
South Yorkshire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses, and anyone with information is asked to call the force on 101, quoting incident number 354 of April 19.
