Places are still available on over 200 courses and apprenticeships at Dearne Valley College.
Prospective students are invited to an open evening at the college’s Manvers campus on Tuesday, November 18, to find out more.
The college is still accepting applications for their full-time vocational courses, apprenticeships, adult and part-time courses, a range of higher education programmes including foundation degrees and higher national diplomas, business and in-work training, and opportunities for the unemployed.
The courses are open to school leavers, students or adult learners.
A spokesperson at the college said: “We want to urge potential learners of all ages who might still be considering joining us this year that it isn’t too late to apply and begin the journey to their future career.
“Our admissions advisors are on hand to assist with course information, advice and guidance, application support and much more.”
Vocational courses are available in a variety of areas.
Courses include hairdressing, construction, catering, business, beauty therapy, painting and decorating and childcare.
English and maths qualifications are also available, giving people the opportunity to improve their skills.
Tutors will also be on hand on the night to talk about the variety of courses.
Visitors will be given a tour of the college and its facilities.
Current students and staff at the college are celebrating after receiving a top award from the Quality Assurance Agency.
Following a review in June, a report was recently released by QAA confirming the college’s academic standards meet UK expectations.
The commendations praised the college for both its enhancement and the quality of student learning opportunities.
