A children’s club based in the Isle has been judged good by Ofsted in all aspects of care.

The Westwoodside-based All Aboard Children’s Club was opened by Susan and Michael Harrison in 2004 and is registered to care for 26 children aged four to11 years.

Team games, crafts, den-making and role play are all activities that feature within the large garden at the club premises.

Susan Harrison said: “My last inspection was disappointing but my recent inspection reflects the service offered here at All Aboard Children’s Club.”

Ofsted inspectors noted that Mrs Harrison has ‘made good progress since the last inspection. She has taken effective action to evaluate her knowledge and enhance the quality of the club to benefit all children.”

The report added: ‘The provider and staff join in with children’s play and use their effective interactions to extend children’s learning further. All children make good progress.’

Effective working partnerships with the local school were praised, along with the teaching of cultures and traditions, and development of good physical skills.
